WU Tianyue

Wu Tianyue is an Associate Professor and Master’s Supervisor at the School of Art and Humanities, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. He earned his PhD in Art History from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, with additional academic backgrounds in social anthropology and philosophy. He was a visiting scholar at Peking University (2022–2023) and the National Museum of Ethnology, Japan (2015–2016). His research focuses on Buddhist art history, Trans-cultural art history and Material culture, particularly the interactions between art history and intellectual history across East, South and Southeast Asia.
