Research

An important role for the Hong Kong Maritime Museum is to provide access to and encourage research about maritime heritage of the Pearl River Delta and the China Coast.

Here you will find resources that give public access to our onsite library that houses 5,000 books, journals, photographs, prints, maps and documents with access to additional materials via an online library, the CSSC Resource Library.  And in the course of scholarly activities undertaken by staff, consultants and associations connected to the Museum, original research papers, speeches and books are also available

The Museum welcomes interested scholars and students to utilise this material and contribute additional knowledge to the Museum. Out of respect to the authors and the institution, acknowledgement of authorship is required when any material is quoted.
