Marnix VIERGEVER

Marnix Viergever (1990) holds an Bachelor of Arts in Japan Studies (2013, thesis subject: the role of the United States in historical conflicts between Japan and South Korea), and a Master of Arts in International Relations (2015, thesis subject: local opposition in Okinawa against the American
military bases), both obtained at Leiden University.
Since 2016 Viergever has worked at various positions in the Netherlands maritime sector. He worked at the ship supplier Fuji Trading Marine (2016-2018, sales), container shipping company Evergreen Shipping (2018-2022) sales, customer service, documentation), and since 2022 inspector inland shipping at the Dutch maritime inspectorate.
Over the past years Viergever wrote various short articles on freelance basis (2017-2019 Maritime Holland, 2020 Strategy Works). He also volunteered for a Dutch website about maritime history (2020-2021 Maritiem Portal).
