LIU Xialing
Xialing Liu is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Art Museum, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She holds a Ph.D. in Art History from the Central Academy of Fine Arts and was a visiting scholar at Utrecht University in the Netherlands and at the Marco Polo Research Centre for Global Europe - Asia Connections, Ca' Foscari University of Venice. Her research focuses on transcultural art history (17th–18th centuries), material culture, and Asian lacquer, with a particular emphasis on Kuancai(Coromandel) lacquer screens and Chinese lacquerware, lacquer cabinets in Europe and export art.
