Du Zhou studies textiles and dress in transcultural exchange between China and the West during the late nineteenth to early twentieth centuries. Her research explores how fashion participates in shaping the world’s perception of China, Chinese people, and Chinese culture. She received her Bachler’s and Master’s degree in Art History from Tsinghua University. She is recently graduated from Bard Graduate Center, New York, with her second Master’s degree in Decorative Arts, Design History, and Material Culture. She is currently working as a curatorial intern at China Institute of America, New York.
