Transportation

To travel from Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) to the Hong Kong Maritime Museum, located at Central Pier 8, you have several transportation options depending on your budget, time, and comfort preferences:

  1. Take the Airport Express from HKG to Hong Kong Station (about 24 minutes).

  2. Walk to Central Station (connected underground).

  3. Exit toward Central Ferry Piers and walk to Pier 8, where the Maritime Museum is located (about 10 minutes on foot).
     

  • Total time: ~35–40 minutes

  • Cost: ~HKD $100

  1. Take Citybus A11 from the airport to Macau Ferry Terminal (Connaught Road Central).

  2. Walk about 10–15 minutes to Pier 8.



     

  • Total time: ~50–60 minutes

  • Cost: ~HKD $40–$50

Option 3:
Taxi (Direct & Comfortable)
  1. Take a taxi directly from the airport to the Hong Kong Maritime Museum.
     

  • Total time: ~40–45 minutes

  • Cost: ~HKD $440–$550

  1. Book a private transfer or towncar service online for door-to-door service.
     

  • Total time: ~45 minutes

  • Cost: ~HKD $650–$900

*Closes on the first two days of the Chinese New Year.
