About the Event

The event is organised by the Faculty of Architecture, The University of Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Maritime Museum is honoured to be one of the supporting organisations.


The main theme of this Second Heritage Lighthouses Symposium is 150th Anniversary of the First Batch of HK Lighthouses (Cape D'Aguilar, Green Island and Cape Collison) in Lighting the Approaches to Victoria Harbour. The talks will cover the history, design, construction, operation, safety, conservation, meteorology, environment, military, sovereignty, lighthouse keepers work and life. You are free to share with us any topic you think appropriate in not more than 30 mins.
