About the Event

Have you ever thought about how discarded orange peels could transform into a "super feed" for farmed fish?

Through microbial fermentation, Prof. Jack Ip and his research team from the Division of Science at Lingnan University convert this fruit waste into a valuable additive that enhances the diet of common aquaculture species, improving fish health and flesh quality! This innovation creates a sustainable “from orchard to fish farm” cycle, minimizing environmental impact and driving greener practices in local aquaculture! Their experiments have shown promising results applicable to various farmed fish.

In this talk, Prof. Jack Ip and Haohang from Lingnan University will reveal how this waste can support thriving fish and discuss the path toward a sustainable future for Hong Kong's fisheries. Prof. Ip will also share about how to make the additive at home.

Don’t miss out—register now to explore marine biology and eco-innovation!
