The Tai O Dragon Boat Water Parade is one of Hong Kong’s nationally recognized intangible cultural heritage events. Held annually on the Dragon Boat Festival day, villagers carry deity statues from temples onto dragon boats to parade along the waterways for blessings, focusing on ritual rather than competition. Combining fishermen’s traditions, folk religious practices, and community participation, it offers a vivid window into local life and culture. Director Dede Cheuk, together with Dr. Billy Tang, will share the filming process of the documentary Intangible Cultural Heritage・One and their reflections on the significance of intangible cultural heritage.

This sharing session will be conducted in Cantonese.
