The Hong Kong Maritime Museum has reopened since 24 April 2022 (Sunday). Due to construction, the museum currently only opens on Sundays and Public Holidays.

Museum

A and B Decks: Currently closed until further notice

C Deck: Opens every Sundays and Public Holidays until further notice: 10:00-19:00

Monday to Wednesday: 09:30 - 19:00
Thursday to Sunday: 09:30 - 20:00

Museum Shop

Monday to Friday: 11:00 - 17:00

Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays: 11:00-18:30

Reminder to Visitors

Tickets will not be available 30 minutes before closing.

Flash and professional photography is not permitted.

A baby changing station is available.

Inclement Weather Arrangements

Typhoon signal number 8 or above
The Museum will be closed, and remain closed if the signal is lowered less than two hours before the normal closing time

Black rainstorm warning

If the warning is issued during normal opening hours, the Museum will remain open. If the warning is issued before opening hours, the Museum will be closed until the warning is cancelled. If the warning is cancelled less than two hours before the normal closing time, the Museum will not re-open for the day.

The museum is implementing prevention measures to protect our visitors and staff:

Anti-Epidemic Hygiene Measures Certification
The museum has obtained the Anti-Epidemic Hygiene Measures Certification, certified by the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA)

 

Temperature Screening

Visitors are required to have temperature checked before admission.

Mask Wearing

Visitors and our staff are required to wear masks.

Provision of Hand Sanitisers

Hand sanitisers are provided throughout the museum

Frequent Routine Cleaning

Frequent routine cleaning is undertaken throughout the day

 

To protect oneself and others, the museum will implement special precautionary measures. Visitors are required to use the “LeaveHomeSafe” mobile application or register personal information prior admission.  A new vaccine pass arrangement in accordance with government requirements applies to Hong Kong Maritime Museum starting from 24 February. The museum will continue to review and update this situation and arrangements in a timely manner.
