Bon Wong, Project Officer, Conservancy Association Centre for Heritage
Large, colourful flower plaques were used for advertising and decoration in old Hong Kong for festivals, ceremonies and shop openings. They were often attached to the walls of buildings. Flower Plaque skills and techniques are disappearing because of the design of new buildings and easier ways to produce promotional materials. Bon will talk about the history of flower plaques and participants can make their own unique mini flower plaques.
