Hong Kong is surrounded by water and has a rich marine ecology with a high species diversity. However, Hong Kong’s waters are seriously threatened by marine litter. “Hong Kong Cleanup” has been running for 15 years, helping to inspire and motivate members of the public to keep our coastlines clean. Nissa’s talk will discuss how we can achieve a “zero waste future” for our oceans and coastlines and move beyond performing simple clean up activities.
Hong Kong Discovery actively develops ecotourism activities in Hong Kong, allowing the public to enjoy our natural environment while promoting green messages at the same time. Cheuk Ho will guide you on a tour of our unique coastal ecology and geological treasures. He will also explain how we can all contribute to preserving the marine environment during such tours and save our oceans together.
