HKMM has received financial support from the Government of HKSAR to establish and operate a new marine science program designed to equip visitors with the necessary knowledge to appreciate the complexity and value of the local underwater environment.
The successful applicant will have a suitable academic qualifications, significant experience in public education and a passion for marine science. Previous experience working with an NGO, along with proven management and teambuilding skills are highly desirable.

Develop a suite of attractive interactive marine science programs including all resource materials suitable for primary and secondary students in accordance with general guidelines established by the Museum.
Establish, lead, and train a team of volunteer educators committed to stimulating an interest among student visitors in the ecology of Hong Kong waters.
Build on existing collaborative partnerships with universities, conservation organisations and relevant government agencies to deliver educational content and activities such as short-term displays, lectures, and talks.
Develop permanent exhibition content as part of a team with a specific focus on Hong Kong waters.
Deliver hands on programs at both the primary and secondary school level in person and to support specialists on a need’s basis
Represent HKMM at educational forums, schools, institutes and with the media to promote the public programs being delivered at the museum.
- Perform administrative tasks such as minute taking and budget management in support of the program.
